Managing Director and CFO
Jyrki Vesaluoma joined Luvata as CFO in November 2005. In 2014 he also took on the role of Group Managing Director. He has a wide experience of leading finance and group functions in global and stock-listed companies: before joining Luvata he worked as CFO at Metso Paper, SVP of Finance at Outokumpu Copper Products, and held several senior financial management roles within the Outokumpu Technology group in Finland and Germany.
Jyrki qualified with an MSc in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics. He has also completed various supplementary management and leadership courses during his career.
Jyrki lives in the UK with his wife and three children but returns to his summerhouse in Finland when he can. Before his working career he played tennis at a national level. He is also a keen skier and golfer.
President of ACR Tubes
Ron Beal has over 20 years of experience with Luvata and, previously, Outokumpu. His hands-on experience in the cross-functional areas of sales, marketing, engineering and manufacture, as well as his position as President/General Manager of the facility in Franklin, Kentucky have served him well in the strategic expansion of Luvata’s worldwide ACR Tubes business. He holds a Bachelors degree in Science from the College of Wooster as well a Masters in Business Administration from Ashland University. Ron currently resides in Bowling Green, Kentucky with his wife and two children. When not working, Ron can be found on the golf course or volunteering as a coach for the local youth leagues.
President of Special Products
Jussi Helavirta joined Luvata in 2000 and was Division Head of the European region before becoming Head of the Special Products Division. Prior to Luvata, he worked 12 years as Vice President of operations for Metso in the US and Canada; he worked as sales director for Machinery Oy; at Fiskars as production manager; and at Tamrock as project manager of state-of-the-art Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS).
Jussi has an MSc in Workshop Technology and Industrial Economics from the University of Tampere and has completed several team building and leadership courses, including Yale University.
Jussi lives in Finland with his wife. He has 2 sons living in Finland and USA. He is a fan of ice hockey and likes cooking and walking with his Labrador, Charley.
Senior Vice-President of Metals
Ian joined Luvata in 2007. Ian has over 25 years of experience in metals and was previously responsible for the hedge book in Outokumpu Copper Products. Ian’s knowledge of hedging, procurement and metals trading include roles with BICC Cables, Emetra and Trafigura.
Ian is currently Chair of the International Wrought Copper Council (IWCC) Copper Committee and represents Luvata on two LME committees including the Copper Committee and the Physical Market Committee.
Ian received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern European Studies with emphasis in international relations and politics from Trent University, Nottingham. Ian currently lives in Brussels, Belgium with his wife and two children. Outside of work he enjoys most sports, as spectator or participant, as well as music.
Senior Vice-President of Communications
Justin Roux joined Luvata in early 2006. He has worked in communications, PR and marketing for 17 years, following nine years of international assignments in the offshore, process and power industries.
In 2000, Justin founded his own communication strategy consultancy and went to become the Head of Marketing at AVEVA Group. He has been the editor of three publications and has written for titles including EU Vision, The Lonely Planet, The Howard Hughes Foundation and the British press. He was a finalist at the New York Festival of Film and Television Awards (screenplay).
Justin has held two positions as Chairman within the International Copper Association and is a member of the European Association of Communication Directors. He is a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Reading and a regular writer and public speaker on issues such as corporate change, communications and history. In 2014 he realised his ambition of playing Shakespeare’s Henry V.
Hannu Wahlroos has unique insight into the Luvata units and businesses around the globe, having spent his long career with Luvata in Finland, China and Italy. He has served the company in various managerial level positions in different functions including production, sales, R&D, business development and general management.
Outside of work Hannu enjoys golf and hiking.
Compensation & Benefits Director
Ann joined Luvata as Compensation & Benefits Director in January 2006 and has since taken on shared responsibility for the Group Human Resources function. Ann has a long international career working with HR in the retail, automotive and health care industries as well as interim consultancy assignments in building HR functions.
Before joining Luvata Ann was operating as Surgical Business Division HR Manager and Compensation & Benefits Director at Molnlycke Health Care, Group HR Manager with KappAhl and also with Volvo in Sweden.
Ann studied organisational psychology, human ecology and Asian culture at the University of Gothenburg. She has a diploma in Strategic HR Management (Gothenburg Management Institute). In her spare time Ann enjoys jogging and practising yoga, watching films, reading and studying wine. She has recently become a member of Zonta - working to advance the status of women worldwide.
