(20 October 2009). Luvata ElectroFin, Inc. today announced Tampa, Florida for its newest location to provide corrosion-proofing services to meet the growing demand for HVAC&R coil protection against corrosive environments. The facility, scheduled to begin operations in January 2010, will offer INSITU® a spray applied, permanent, water-based, synthetic coating developed specifically for the protection of heat exchange units.
Tampa, the second largest metropolitan area in Florida, is situated on the west gulf coast of Florida and is ideally suited to serve customers in the Southeast USA. Tampa joins Luvata ElectroFin’s three other locations in Louisville, Kentucky; Jacksonville, Texas; and Temecula, California in offering spray applied coil corrosion protection.
“People are beginning to realize the cost of corrosion in terms of lifetime operating costs, especially when considering the corrosive environmental conditions that exist on the gulf coast. We feel Tampa is the perfect location in helping us reach customers who recognize the benefit of spray applied INSITU® protection,” indicates Ralph Rice, General Manager with Luvata ElectroFin.
The new Tampa facility is located approximately one mile from Interstate 75 at SR 60 (Brandon Blvd W exit). The facility, built in 1973, is constructed of metal panels over exposed steel frame with a reinforced concrete slab foundation. The building includes 16 feet high clearance with six grade level bay doors and approximately 21,120 square feet for plant operations and almost 2,000 square feet of office space. New equipment including equipment wash station and paint spray booth will be installed.
