Luvata announces official opening of ElectroFin Tampa facility

Luvata ElectroFin celebrates its newest coil corrosion-protection location

(January 27, 2010).   Luvata ElectroFin, Inc. today announced the official opening of its newest location in Tampa, Florida. This new Tampa location will serve customers in the Southeast USA and joins Luvata’s other three ElectroFin locations in Louisville, Kentucky; Jacksonville, Texas; and Temecula, California in offering spray applied coil corrosion protection. Together these four facilities reinforce Luvata ElectroFin’s position as a leading supplier of HVAC/R coil corrosion coating services.

Coil corrosion causes the all-too-common leakage in cooling equipment from air conditioners to process coolers. ElectroFin Insitu® is a spray-applied corrosion-resistant coil coating designed to be used in the field. It was developed to meet the need for HVAC/R corrosion protection when time is critical, and a factory-based coating is not an option. It penetrates deep into the surface of the coils to give a smooth surface for easy maintenance.

“With the opening of our Tampa facility, Luvata brings the leading corrosion coating protection solution a little closer to customers who recognize the benefit of INSITU®,” indicates Ralph Rice, General Manager with Luvata ElectroFin.  “The coil corrosion protection offered by Luvata retains the operating efficiency of the unit longer while reducing maintenance, replacement and operating costs.  This ultimately extends the length of service of HVAC&R systems, often desired during these tough economic times.”

At the grand opening event, guests had the opportunity to tour the new facility and to learn more about Luvata ElectroFin’s HVAC/R coil corrosion protection coatings including factory-applied ElectroFin® E-coat and spray-applied Insitu®, its newest coil protection coating.

The Insitu® polymer coating contains ES2 (embedded stainless steel) pigment to provide a multi-layer structure which tightly bonds to the substrate. As the Insitu® coating wears away over time, the stainless steel particles become more and more exposed, providing continued protection for the remainder of the coating and substrate underneath. Insitu® is UV and chemical resistant, is environmentally sustainable and meets stringent air quality emission standards.

ElectroFin® E-coat is recognized internationally by major OEMs as the best corrosion protection for fin and tube heat exchangers in coastal environments.  As a factory applied solution, it offers excellent corrosion resistance, as well as uniformity of coverage and coating thickness, guaranteed effective in coastal environments in reducing maintenance, replacement and operating costs.

ElectroFin® E-coat and ElectroFin Insitu® both come with a five year warranty.  To learn more about Luvata ElectroFin coatings go to www.luvata.com/electrofin
