(16 Feb 2015) Luvata, the international manufacturing group has announced that Bob Kickham has moved on from his role as Senior Vice-President of Procurement & Leadership and Organisational Development to become a non-executive board member of its Fabrication Oy and HTS AB businesses. In addition, Bob will assume the role as Industrial Advisor to the Nordic Capital private equity funds.
In the last nine years, Bob has brought substantial transformation to Luvata’s metal and non-metal procurement activities following The Group’s acquisition by Nordic Capital Fund V in 2005. He has also been instrumental in its development of global leadership and mentoring programmes. In his new position Bob will act as an advisor to the Nordic Capital Funds and their portfolio companies, offering his experience in the fields of strategic procurement, talent management, and in leadership and organisational development.
As a consequence, Ian Scarlett will be promoted to Senior Vice-President of Metals, taking responsibility for Luvata’s raw-metal sourcing. In the last seven years, Ian has worked with Bob in transforming the metal agenda within Luvata. Ian is currently Chair of the IWCC Copper Committee and represents Luvata on two LME committees (The Copper Committee and the Physical Market Committee).
Upon the announcement, Jyrki Vesaluoma, Managing Director of Luvata Group, recognised the value and savings that have been realised through Bob‘s best-in-class knowledge of procurement, his contribution to people-and-leadership, and his role as a mentor to many leaders within the business.
