Its newest coil corrosion-protection facility
(November 18, 2010). Luvata ElectroFin, Inc. celebrated the official opening of its newest location in San Leandro, California. This new location near Oakland Bay will serve customers in Northern California along with customers shipping HVAC/R equipment to the Pacific Rim. This fifth location joins Luvata’s other four ElectroFin locations in Louisville, Kentucky; Jacksonville, Texas; Tampa, Florida and Temecula, California in offering spray applied coil corrosion protection.
At the grand opening event, guests had the opportunity to tour the 11,000 square foot facility and to learn more about Luvata ElectroFin’s HVAC/R coil corrosion protection coatings including factory-applied ElectroFin® E-coat and spray-applied Insitu®, its newest coil protection coating. One guest’s business card was drawn at random to win a complimentary Luvata Insitu® coating up to 5 tons.
Luvata Insitu® polymer coating contains ES2 (embedded stainless steel) pigment to provide a multi-layer structure which tightly bonds to the substrate. As the Insitu® coating wears away over time, the stainless steel particles become more and more exposed, providing continued protection for the remainder of the coating and substrate underneath. Insitu® is UV and chemical resistant, is environmentally sustainable and meets stringent air quality emission standards.
“Offfering our spray applied coil corrosion protection – Insitu®, retains the operating efficiency of units longer while reducing maintenance, replacement and operating costs, ultimately extending the length of service of HVAC&R systems,” says Mike Powell, Sales and Marketing Director with Luvata ElectroFin. “This new Northern California location is ideally located to meet growing demand of coastal and Pacific Rim customers looking for this superior coil coating.”
Also offered from its Louisville and Jacksonville facilities is the factory applied corrosion solution, ElectroFin® E-coat. Recognized internationally by major OEMs as the best corrosion protection for fin and tube heat exchangers in coastal environments, ElectroFin® E-coat offers excellent corrosion resistance, as well as uniformity of coverage and coating thickness. ElectroFin® E-coat and Luvata Insitu® both come with a five year warranty. To learn more about Luvata ElectroFin coatings go to www.luvata.com/electrofin
