Meeting energy efficiency ErP 2013 targets ahead of schedule
(31 January 2012). Luvata announces the launch of its new BETA and CETA series of transformer oil coolers for applications in the energy transformation industry. Already well known by the international players in power generation, the BETA and CETA series have recently been re-designed to offer improved performance. Delivering a significant decrease in the sound level emissions, certified by Lab tests (ISO 3744) and improved energy consumption performance, anticipating by one year the deadline set by the ErP (Energy related Product) directive 2013.
The fan motors enable high efficiency while having a lower number of turns, when compared to the traditional external rotor technology. The electronically commutated (EC) version is available as an additional option, meeting the next ErP 2015 directive requirements for a further reduction in energy consumption and greater functional flexibility for a variety of needs arising during energy transformation plants.
The redesign of the series focuses on the fan motors and the key components influencing the overall performance of the product including the structure, casing and guaranteed working pressures, meeting the standard EN 5021.
The big advantage that the BETA and CETA series offer is a large degree of flexibility available with standard models and customization options to meet the variety and diversity of installations requirements.
In addition to the standard models, Luvata offers a wide selection of options that cover the product dimensions, modularity, and installation (horizontal and vertical), in addition to a complete list of anti-corrosion coatings for installations made in aggressive or very aggressive environments (ISO 12944).
Special care is also given to all connection devices including the cabling and switching features in order to satisfy standard and modular solutions. Luvata continues to offer many different levels of customization and excels at designing one-of a-kind solutions with accelerated delivery times.
Joakim Segerberg, Sales Director for Heat Transfer Solutions EMEA industrial products, says: “These products have always been a point of strength for our company. Their updates make them even more attractive in a very demanding market in terms of quality and safety. Our design and technical capabilities are key factors in their success, but being able to adapt them to specific circumstances and specific installation needs is just as important. This requires dedicated design and engineering support that our clients have come to expect from Luvata. This is why our market share in this segment is near 55%."
