(24 November 2015) Electrolux recently held its third Supplier Awards event on November 18, 2015, recognizing its top direct material suppliers for outstanding performance. Luvata won the prize in the category called "Supplier Excellence for Professional Appliances", that recognizes operational excellence in product development, price competitiveness, quality and the supply chain, as well as social and environmental practices.
Suppliers nominated for this award have demonstrated a sustainable performance record that enables Electrolux factories to produce the most competitive appliances with the best quality. Thirty-nine finalists gathered at Electrolux headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden for the one-day awards event, which featured discussions on innovation and quality, first-hand experience of its latest products and a culinary extravaganza with Electrolux top chefs.
“It’s not just about recognizing excellence, by bringing our top suppliers to Stockholm we strengthen bonds with them, giving them also access to top management and our strategic goals,” says Gregoire Letort, Senior Vice President and Chief Purchasing Officer at Electrolux.
Jan Brockmann, Chief Operations Officer at Electrolux, agrees and adds: “We see our suppliers as partners, playing a crucial role in innovation. The solutions we jointly create help increase our competitiveness. Thanks to this collaboration, we identify new business ideas and bring value to consumers.”
"Our teams focus on customer satisfaction every day. Whether it is quality, on-time delivery, innovative solutions or sustainable practices, we understand having satisfied customers is the key to a bright future for all of us. Therefore it’s extremely rewarding for us to receive this award from Electrolux,” says Stefano Cassis, Vice President and Head of Heat Transfer Solutions EMEA with Luvata.
