Breakthroughs in sound, energy and commercial applications show commitment to innovation despite global recession
(23 April 2009) The 20th International Exhibition for Refrigeration (CHINA REFRIGERATION 2009) was held in Guangzhou from April 5 – 7. At the expo, Luvata’s Heat Transfer Solutions Division demonstrated its belief that the HVACR industry should continue to innovate despite the economic downturn. The group presented a raft of new, commercially available technologies.
Among new innovations Luvata introduced the ‘KCE’ range for a diversity of applications in the field of refrigeration, air-conditioning and industrial/commercial liquid cooling. The technology carries the familiar ECO brand on a range of liquid coolers and remote condensers that comply with the most stringent regulations on sound levels and energy consumption.
In addition to the KCE range, the group recently released offerings for commercial A/C and refrigeration applications and a specialised solution for the food processing industry. PKE is an air condenser range for the commercial A/C and refrigeration applications and the CTE 500 is a cooler specifically designed for the food processing industry.
Luvata believes that maintaining its approach to unique design and performance for individual markets and applications will continue to gain recognition in the market place. Hannu Wahlroos – Head of Luvata Heat Transfer Solutions Division commented: “This event takes place during the most severe economic crisis the world has experienced in the last 50 years and we are taking the chance to set the basis for the recovery. We are encouraged by our customers’ enthusiasm and believe that the economic situation is on the verge of improving.”
Luvata has invested in a strong united presence in China, with centres of excellence in Zhongshan and Wuxi. The Heat Transfer Solutions Division now has a stronghold in South East Asia with a customer base of committed HVAC&R OEMs who depend on manufacturing expertise in the field of finned pack heat exchangers and air unit designs. Luvata is the biggest manufacturer of HVACR solutions in the world.
Giovanni Simeoni – divisional Vice-President of Sales & Marketing added: “Our dedication to research and development to enhance technologies and solutions is paying off and this whole exhibition has re-energised the industry in the Far East”.
