(30 January 2013). Luvata, a world leader in metal solution manufacturing, heat transfer technology and engineering and design services, has released new versions of its current English website in Chinese, Spanish and Russian. Adding the additional languages plays an important role in supporting the company’s commitment to grow in high growth regions and markets.
Over the past 9 years, Luvata has opened a sales office in Russia, grown from 1 to 6 plants in China and from 1 to 3 plants in Mexico. Today Luvata employs over 6,400 staff in 16 countries.
The Chinese, Spanish and Russian language sites will co-exist with its current English website and can be found be clicking on the corresponding country flag at the top-right of the current English website.
“The new sites are more concise than the main site,” said Justin Roux, Head of Communications. “Luvata does business on a human-to-human basis and the role of the website is simply to create those links. These new sites get straight to that task.”
The project involved condensing over 1,000 pages from the main site into just 30 that could be translated. Justin added: “Taking a look at everything you’ve ever said about everything you do and then spring-cleaning it into something very modern is a good exercise in discipline. I’d encourage everyone to try it.”
In addition, the main website has also been enhanced. All product and market content has been updated and can now be accessed from the front page navigation. “Almost 90% of the visitors to our site are customers – we want to get them straight to what they’re looking for and we now have a simple ‘hover-over’ navigation which does that. I think these two developments show that the right solution need not always be the most technically complicated.”
