A new “Green Collection” section highlights products using natural fluids
(26 March 2012). Luvata announces its 2012 Air Units product catalogue is now available and includes the latest information on new products and features.
In addition to the technical updates on the broad range of air units available from Luvata, the catalogue also includes the new series PCV that combines the condenser with a compressor compartment for small-medium applications in the commercial refrigeration sector. This series meets the sector’s criteria for flexibility and compactness complementing Luvata’s offering of condensers with compressor compartments in the low-medium capacities.
The performance enhancements now available with the EVS series are also included in the new catalogue. The new EVS range of unit coolers is designed for applications in small cold rooms and includes a heat exchanger with increased exchange surface and an additional fan-motor, up to a maximum of 4. Its original, logical and yet simplistic, design remains unchanged.
The “Options and Special Features” section is further improved with the contents easier to find and read. Additional details are now available on options of high interest such as EC fan-motors, now available on each range, frequency inverters, streamers and oversized fan ducts.
The “Green Collection”
The most significant change to the 2012 edition of the Luvata ECO Coils&Coolers branded air units catalogue is the added sectioned titled the “Green Collection”. This section features a series of new evaporators specifically designed and dedicated to natural fluids applications, such as CO2 and NH3 that Luvata has recently launched. The ammonia line – currently including the ICN and IDN series – will be expanded through the design of new ranges.
A strong proponent for using natural refrigerants, Luvata has held a leading position in the use of CO2, both in the design of heat exchangers for the HVAC&R market and its ECO Coils&Coolers branded air units for civil, commercial and industrial applications in the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors. The launch of unit coolers running with ammonia (NH3) is proof of Luvata’s ongoing commitment towards the adoption of natural refrigerants with zero environmental impact.
Stephen Shaw, General Manager for Luvata HTS EMEA indicates, “Luvata is an innovative and sustainability-driven company. Our strategy fits nicely with the industry’s trend towards natural fluids applications, while simultaneously satisfying the demanding requirements of mature markets such as EMEA. We are investing heavily in this area in terms of technology and resources, while relying on the response of the market that has rewarded us with very encouraging feed-back thus far.”
Luvata is also planning to announce new ranges of NH3 products later this year.
