Metallurgy minds converge at METEC 2011
The best metallurgy minds in the world met at the 8th International Metallurgical Technology Trade Fair held in Düsseldorf, Germany 28 June – 02 July 2011 to discuss the ‘Bright World of Metals’.
During the five METEC fair days, almost 79000 visitors met with the 1958 exhibitors. Luvata’s Metallurgical Application team alone hosted almost 400 visitors from around the globe, taking the opportunity to hold face-to-face meetings with over 200 customers and potential customers.
“The positive response to Luvata’s presence at METEC 2011 and the strong confidence in the iron making business was great to see,” indicates Ed te Beest, Sales Director with Luvata’s Metallurgical Applications.
“With our innovative leadership position in the industry, many blast furnace operators and engineers were drawn to the patented designs and concepts that Luvata’s staves and new cooler-plate products offer,” continues te Beest.
Luvata offers a broad range of products, including casting moulds, cooling elements and slag runners, widely used in furnaces and smelters by the iron and steel production industry. As Luvata continuously enhances and broadens it product portfolio to meet customers’ ever changing needs, it is already looking forward to the next METEC trade fair scheduled for the summer of 2015.
