The China Refrigeration Expo in Shanghai wraps up its 19th edition

April 23, 2008
The 19th International Exhibition for Refrigeration (CHINA REFRIGERATION 2008) which was held in Shanghai from April 9 – 11 closes with success for the Luvata Coils and Coolers Division.

This event - that is the most important HVAC&R exhibition in Asia for participants and visitors - was the first time ECO attended under the Luvata trade name.

Acquired in August 2007, ECO is Europe’s leading manufacturer of heat exchangers and ventilated units for refrigeration and air conditioning and - together with the Luvata Heat Exchanger Division, leader in North America - has become the world’s most important company in the sector.

Thanks to a consolidated presence in China with centres of excellence in Zhongshan (Luvata Heat Exchangers (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd) and Wuxi (Wuxi ECO Coils & Coolers Co. Ltd), the Luvata Coils and Coolers division represents also in China and in Southeast Asia the committed partner of the principal OEMs worldwide.

In addition to the production of heat exchangers – whose quality and reliability are recognized by the main world players present in the Asian giant – Luvata has officially introduced its own production ranges of air units for commercial and industrial applications and its range of “Cleaners” – equipment for the maintenance and the recharge of automobile air conditioning systems.

The ECO Coils&Coolers brand air units already distributed internationally – with solid market-shares in Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, North Africa, South America and Southeast Asia – are also ready to further penetrate the Chinese market, from which there are increasing requests for innovative and top-quality products.

The same attention has been kindled by the “Cleaners” that are produced by the Systems business unit, which is capable of offering innovation and service to the exponential growth of China’s automobile market.

Hannu Wahlroos, Executive VP of the division has declared: ”The economic boom in China represents an opportunity, but also a challenge, which we are determined to win thanks to the development of competitive products and first-rate added value in terms of technology, sustainability and service.

Our strength is based on consolidated know-how and on synergies that allow the transfer and partaking of competences. It is our intention to guarantee uniformity of the best technical and manufacturing standards developed within the Group”.
