Copper Rods

Our copper rods are designed to meet the highest industry standards, available in oxygen-free copper (ASTM F68), CuAg silver-bearing copper, and mechanically robust copper alloys CuZr, CuCr1Zr and CuNiSi. With a wide variety of shapes, including rectangular, round, square, hexagonal, and trapezoidal, and an extensive range of sizes and tempers, our rods are engineered for versatility across diverse electrical and industrial applications.

We produce each rod for seamless further processing and cut it to exact lengths. Rods can be and packaged as customers wish, with options for protective or functional coatings such as tin, nickel, or silver.

Copper Bars

We manufacture our copper bars are to meet precise customer specifications. Companies in the electrical industry frequently use our products in applications such as switchgears. Luvata’s copper bars are available in a wide array of sizes and alloys, including oxygen-free copper (ASTM F68), CuAg silver-bearing copper, and mechanically robust copper alloys CuZr, CuCr1Zr and CuNiSi. We supply each rod accurately cut to length, ensuring seamless integration into advanced processing environments. In addition to copper bars, we also offer coated copper busbars.

Luvata has recently made investments that enables the manufacturing of even bigger copper bars. One of these investments is the world’s most automated hot extrusion press.

Copper Tapes

Copper is one of the safest materials for electrical earthing because it is durable, resists corrosion in soil and enables a quick discharge when lightning strikes. Our copper tapes are commonly used for electric conducting, grounding and lightning protection. Luvata’s copper tapes are produced from high quality copper according to customers’ specifications, and available bare or tinned. Sizes range from 25mm x 3mm up to 63mm x 10mm.

Copper tapes are also referred to as following

The standard packing for copper tape is paper wrapped coils stacked on a wooden pallet, one tonne in weight per pallet. The weight per coil can be per the customer’s specification. The pallet is then shrink wrapped with stretch film. The shrink wrap is to prevent oxidation during warehousing and transportation. 

Luvata also supplies coils in lengths up to 3,000 meters in a single coil. This length facilitates the usage of automatic pay-off machines which will increase uptime.

A: For several products we offer quantities starting from 100kg.

A: EN10204 options are available (2.1, 2.2, 3.1 & 3.2 certificates).

Q: What are the typical tempers that you deliver?
A: Tempers, Soft (35-65HV), Half-hard (min 70HV) and Hard 90-115HV are possible.
