Standard grade OF-OK® oxygen-free copper is the best choice for most of the applications. Small addition of silver increases the softening and relaxation temperature, creep and fatigue strength in elevated temperature copper without significant loss of electrical conductivity. Silver bearing grades CuAg0,04% and CuAg0,1% are recommended for elevated temperature applications where the material is presumed to have load bearing capacity. OFE-OK® electronic grade copper is recommended for vacuum applications. Other alloys are also available and offered based on discussions with the customer. MIG Welding Tubes Luvata makes tubes for MIG welding and brazing from phosphorus deoxidized copper EN CW024A and ASTM C12200. In the production, we utilize cold drawing using mandrel inside the tube. As a result the ID surface is very smooth and precise in dimension. Tubes are available in round, hexagonal and oval forms.
