We became part of Luvata and Mitsubishi Materials Corporation in 2024. Our services include cold forming, CNC machining, copper machining, tooling design, and end-of-line services. We work with customers in wide range of industry sectors, from automotive and motorsports to aviation, power distribution, electronics, and medical. We’re based in the friendly market town of Welshpool, approximately six kilometers from the Wales-England border. Apprenticeships at Luvata Welshpool Through apprenticeships, we offer hands-on training in a real-world engineering environment. As an apprentice, you can attain valuable certifications and qualifications while working on exciting projects with industry leaders. General Information Through our paid apprenticeship programme, we provide you with the skills, knowledge, and experience to accelerate your career in today’s fast-moving world of engineering. Learning while earning with us opens up a wealth of exciting new opportunities across a wide range of engineering disciplines. With us, you can gain NVQ 2, NVQ 3, and Level 2, 3, and 4 qualifications in engineering. Our environment is challenging yet highly rewarding. You’ll work alongside experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the industry, learning about the theoretical and practical aspects of engineering firsthand and developing your skills in various areas. The apprenticeship training programme lasts two to four years, depending on the qualifications you choose to pursue. Your training follows a carefully planned schedule, and you are supported throughout, with progress monitored by your assigned learning advisor. In addition to helping, you achieve nationally recognized qualifications, we ensure you develop all the practical skills necessary to progress with us. Who can apply? To become a technical apprentice, you must: Be 16 or over and have completed full-time education Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C/9-4) Eager to develop a career in engineering Enjoy working in a team and have a hunger to learn For Craft Apprenticeships, we welcome candidates with the same requirements of 5 GCSEs (A-C/9-4), but we’ll always consider a candidate with slightly lower qualifications if they show passion and potential.
