Luvata Streamlines its Operative Organization to Strengthen Customer Focus

Luvata has combined Special Products Pori and Superconductors into a single Business Unit. Effective April 1st, 2026, the new Business Unit operates under a name Materials & Solutions and is led by Executive Vice President Jyrki Rantanen.

The Materials & Solutions Business Unit brings together Luvata’s deep material expertise with a strong, solution-driven approach. Its key business areas include metallurgical applications, electrical products, and superconductors. Materials & Solutions has operations on three continents: Luvata Pori in Europe, Luvata Waterbury in North America and Luvata Superconductors (Zhongshan) in Asia.

“Bringing these important Manufacturing Units together into one new Business Unit is a strategic step forward for Luvata. Our operations and supply chains in Pori, Waterbury, and Zhongshan are deeply interconnected, united by technically demanding applications and global customers. This reorganization allows us to fully utilize the potential we have in the company and build a foundation for further growth,” says Luvata Group President & CEO Pekka Kleemola.

This new structure strengthens the strategic focus of Luvata’s superconductors business while enhancing Luvata’s offering for healthcare and other technologically advanced markets. It also supports more efficient operations and a resilient global supply chain.
