Ultra Pure Copper Products

For the most demanding applications requiring the highest purity of copper.

Luvata Copper Targets from Ultra Pure Copper

Luvata is a well-known and trusted supplier of ultra-pure, high-quality copper products. Our ultra-pure copper alloys are utilized in various fields, including electronics and scientific applications such as cryogenics. Made from ultra-pure copper, we offer semi-finished products in various shapes such as bars, sheets, tubes, and machined components, along with finished products like copper anodes and pellets.

Applications

  1. Smart cards, access cards, credit cards
  2. Touchscreens, computers and televisions
  3. Processors for smart devices and smartphones
  4. Memory chips
  5. SD memory cards
  6. Scientific applications; cryogenics

High Purity, Electrical and Thermal Conductivity

Luvata’s ultra-pure copper, with its high purity percentage, meets the requirements of the electronics industry and is therefore widely used in electric devices such as touchscreens, processors, and smartcards. Its high electrical and thermal conductivity in turn makes it suitable for use in devices operating at cryogenic temperatures. Luvata doesn’t only supply copper for these applications but works together with customers to identify the appropriate copper alloy and product for their specific needs.

Our Ultra-Pure Copper Solutions

Ultra-Pure Copper Anodes

We offer the best copper anodes for the most advanced electrochemical deposition (ECD) semiconductor systems. Those have been developed over several decades together with the high-end companies. The products can be precision machined products directly into the clean room or semi-finished components for the customer’s own manufacturing.

Ultra-Pure Copper Pellets

Luvata specializes in the refining and fabrication of high-purity copper pellets for physical vapor deposition (PVD) and electrochemical deposition (ECD). The products could be customer specified from the very small pellets to the bigger balls or slugs. The purity range is 4N5 – 6N (99.995% – 99.9999%). Special alloys like CuP and CuIn are also available.

Ultra Pure Copper Components

Our expertise lies in creating semi-finished products made from high-quality copper, tailored for various applications. We provide customized semi-finished items in a range of shapes and sizes, including bars, sheets, tubes, and machined components. Additionally, we offer ingots in all the high-purity copper grades.

We have developed the copper grades for the cryogenic applications. The best-sold alloy is OFE-Cryogenic. The RRR (Residual-resistivity ratio) is 250–450. Even higher RRR values could are possible using ultra-pure coppers (Cu 99.999 – 99.9999%), changing the RRR values to 800–2000.

Why Ultra Pure Copper?

As even small impurities can have a significant negative influence on the desired results, therefore we never compromise the purity of our raw materials. Our finished and semi-finished products can all be made from the very highest purity copper, and the purity has been considered in every step of the production process even until the antistatic packaging.

We produce our own proprietary oxygen-free copper from only the best quality cathodes. This vertical integration gives us complete control over the quality and supply of our raw materials and products.

Oxygen-free coppers and copper alloys we use include:

  • 99.9995% (5N5)
  • OFE-OK® (4N5) 99.995% (5N)
  • 99.995% (4N5)
  • Other oxygen-free coppers and copper alloys, such as CuP

Why Luvata?

Luvata offers flexibility and technical expertise, providing solutions tailored to customers’ specific requirements. We have decades of experience in the production of finished and semi-finished ultra-pure copper products for numerous industries. When working with our customers, our priority is always to understand the customer and offer solutions that add true value to their business. We supply the products exactly as needed and to desired purity levels, optimizing resource use in terms of cost and production time.
