Cupal® The Cupal® cap is a cold-formed alloy of dispersion strengthened copper (DSC) with aluminum oxide. It consistently outperforms copper chrome and copper chrome zirconium electrodes in resistance to annealing, consistent electrical conductivity, electrode life and lower maintenance costs. Advantages of Cupal® welding electrodes longer weld life anti-stick characteristics reduces energy requirements works on all steels resists mushrooming for improved up-time Traceability All materials are fully traceable. A Cupal® electrode can be recognized by its four (4) pair of knurls evenly spaced around the periphery of the electrode. H-Trode® H-Trode® is the ideal cap electrode for resistance welding of 5000, 6000 and 7000 grade aluminum components. The combination of advanced copper metallurgy and our cold-forming technology gives you an electrode that outperforms conventional electrodes when welding aluminum. The superior conductivity of H-Trode® means that the maximum electrical resistance in an assembly is clearly between the aluminum sheets. This reduces the heat generated between the sheets and electrode, which in turn reduces sticking. Benefits Compatible with conventional spot welding equipment Increased productivity Cost-effective electrode for aluminium welding High conductivity Non-stick properties Compatible with conventional spot welding equipment Alternative welding solutions have been developed for aluminum, but equipment is expensive, large and more difficult to implement than conventional spot welding. H-Trode® electrodes enable stable spot welding of aluminum alloys using conventional spot welding equipment. Increased productivity Compared with alternative joining methods, spot welding using H-Trode® electrodes and standard dressing equipment significantly increases productivity. Most cost-effective electrode for aluminum welding H-Trode®’s increased life expectancy, maintenance savgins and consistent quality welds assure you the highest return on your investment for welding aluminum. Physical properties All H-Trode® electrodes are cold worked and most items are fully cold formed to ensure the maximum hardness. H-Trode® has a high-conductivity of minimum 92% IACS. Nitrode® The Nitrode® cap is a cold-formed alloy of dispersion strengthened copper with aluminum oxide. Nitrode® demonstrates superior weld performance on a variety of steels. It resists mushrooming on the contact surface, allowing more welds before tip dressing, heat stepping or tip change. No other cap electrode can match Nitrode® for its cost-effective, high quality performance in resistance-welding applications. Nitrode®consistently outperforms copper chrome and copper chrome zirconium electrodes by resisting annealing. All Nitrode® materials are fully traceable. Nitrode® electrodes can be recognized by their single knurls markings.
